Your Safety Is Our Priority

At Interpenpal, we take the safety of our members seriously. We have built multiple layers of protection into the platform and work constantly to maintain a respectful, trustworthy community. Here is everything you need to know about staying safe on Interpenpal.

Account Verification

Every new account goes through email verification to confirm the member is using a real email address. This simple step significantly reduces spam accounts and bots. We monitor signup patterns and use automated systems to flag suspicious activity before it reaches our community. Accounts that exhibit bot-like behavior are suspended immediately for review.

Active Moderation

Our moderation team works around the clock to review reports and monitor platform activity. When you report a user, a real person reviews the case within twenty-four hours. We take violations seriously: members who harass others, send inappropriate content, or misuse the platform face immediate suspension. Repeat offenders are permanently banned with no appeal.

Easy Reporting

If something does not feel right, reporting is just one tap away. You can report a message, a profile, or an entire conversation. You do not need to explain yourself in detail right away; just flag it and our team will investigate. Reports are completely confidential, and the reported user will never know who filed the report.

Privacy Controls

You control what information is visible on your profile. Your email address is never shown to other members. You can choose to display or hide your country, timezone, and other details. Our messaging system means you never need to share personal contact information unless you choose to. We recommend keeping conversations on the platform until you have built a solid foundation of trust.

Safety Tips for Members

  • 1

Never share your home address, financial information, or passwords with anyone on the platform.

  • 2

Be cautious with users who pressure you to move conversations off-platform quickly.

  • 3

If someone asks for money or makes you uncomfortable, report them immediately.

  • 4

Use a profile photo that does not reveal your exact location, workplace, or other identifying details.

  • 5

Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, it probably is. Report and block without hesitation.

  • 6

When meeting a penpal in person for the first time, choose a public place and tell someone you trust about your plans.

Our Commitment

We are committed to maintaining Interpenpal as a safe space for genuine language exchange and cultural connection. We regularly update our safety systems, review our policies, and listen to feedback from our community. If you have suggestions for improving safety on the platform, we want to hear from you. Together, we can keep Interpenpal the welcoming community it was designed to be.
